How long have you been modeling?

I just picked up modeling professionally in August of 2004.

What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling?

I saw what was out in the market and decided I could be successful in it. It's also something I've been thinking about since I was younger, but I wanted to get further along in my schooling.

What impact has modeling had on your personal life?

It brings a lot of people from your past out of the wood work. I've had so many people from high school call or IM that I haven't spoken to in months. It's also made me really busy so I've had to become more organized. Luckily I have a very understanding and supportive boyfriend so it hasn't had too much of and effect there.

Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?

I believe it's a much more diverse market than most people realize. A model isn't only what you see on the catwalk; it's the lady you see in Women's Home Journal holding a bottle of Dawn, the kids you see skateboarding in Sketchers ad and so much more. There's room for so many different kids of people.

What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?

I hope to have a great time while I'm in the industry and hopefully have the opportunity to act or host a TV show at some point. I am really interested in what goes on behind the scenes as well so management is also a possibility.

What are some of the projects you're currently working on?

Right now I am working on making www.foreverafox.com as great as it can be. I am also working on getting featured in a few magazines to gain some national exposure.

What are your turn-ons?

I really enjoy someone that can hold an intelligent debate without getting all worked up and offended. If you can go toe to toe with me and maintain some tact and decorum that's a definate positive.

What are your turn-offs?

I really can't stand an unkempt man. As a model you have a lot of pressure to look at the very least presentable so when I see a man in wrinkled shirt, dirty jeans, and shoes with duct tape, I almost want to hurl.

Name some things you couldn't live without?

Of course, I couldn't live without my close friends, boyfriend, and family but on a more superficial level, I think I might be quite lost without Pepsi. :)

How would you describe your overall personality?

I'm a very outgoing and friendly person with just a hint of that sass that you might expect from someone from Detroit.

Tell us one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?

The fact that I have my tongue pierced shocks most. Also that I am very open when it comes to talking about sexual things though most wouldn't consider me a freak.

What would you consider your greatest strength?

My ability to deal with almost any type of person or situation without too much of a problem gets me through a lot of things.

What would you consider your greatest physical asset?

Most people would say the boobs, but I personally like my eyes. It's the thing that my mom always tell me she like about me.

What signals do you give to a man when you want him to make the first move?

I usually try to give something with the eyes or touch him in a way to let him know that I won't reject his advances.

What signals do you give a man when you want him to stay away?

I give negative body language like folded arms and moving away from him.

What is the one thing you wish all men knew about women?

I wish they know that though we are complicated creatures in many ways, that doesn't meant that we aren't worth the effort and will most likely become less complicated the more they get to know us.

Give us an example of what you'd consider the perfect first date?

Anything that allows two people to get to know each other. That cuts out somthing like the movies where you just sit in the dark for two hours. I also like things that involve culture like museums or plays.

Regarding the gentlemen you date, name one quality they must possess and why?

Intelligence. I can't deal with someone that I have to explain every other word I use.

What are your opinions on the state of the black male today?

The Black male is in the precarious position of having negative image in the media and among Black females. It's not all their fault, but it is something that they have to deal with day to day. They can do things to lessen the problems those stigmas cause and I'd advise that they did that instead of things to perpetuate the stereotypes.

When a gentleman attempts to approach you in public, give us some advice on how it should be done?

As long as he comes at me respectfully, I'll respond to him in the same way. And I'd suggest guys stop with the grabbing; only makes most women uncomfortable.

Give us a description of a normal evening at home with you?

I like to lounge around and watch TV or play on the computer. I'm a big computer nerd so I spend a lot of time working on www.foreverafox.com and talking to friends and fans.

Overall today theres a lot of talk regarding sisters and the whole bisexual movement, if you want to call it that. What are your personal feelings regarding this rising 'phenomenon' among black women?

I don't think it's that big of a phenomenom. I just think mainstream America is now just catching onto it. People have been bisexual and homosexual since the beginning of time but a lot of that was stifled by the spread of Christianity. I also don't think it's just seeming to grow in the Black community, there has been a increase on what heterosexual America has realized is going on White, Latino, and Asian communities as well. The numbers haven't increased so much as it the numbers of people who are actually coming out has.

What are your thoughts regarding brothers on the DL(Down Low)? This seems to be a growing issue with our sisters today.

Again, I don't think this is the big epidemic heterosexual America thinks it is. Since homosexuality wasn't as accepted in the past, men were marrying and having children before they would admit they liked men or taking it to the grave. I think it's good that at least men are coming out of the closet earlier and admitting their exploits.

What are some of your other interest outside of modeling?

I am senior majoring in Spanish and Math at the Unversity of Michigan. If I weren't modeling, I would be a teacher. I also love to write when I get some free time.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

I hope to be marriend and depending on where I am in modeling, having a child or two. I hope to have been featured in some national publications and have had some experience in the acting field.

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in modeling?

Be honest with yourself about what you have and what you don't, then research the industry and target what you're best suited for. After that it's a matter of marketing yourself correctly and giving it your best.
