How did the idea for Club 206 come about?
I started shooting and it just popped up in my head.
What is your position within the Club 206 project?
I'm the Founder/CEO and Photographer.
How has Club 206 grown or changed since its inception?
It was a simple promotion site but its kind of formed into a small agency.
How large is the team that currently assists you with running this project?
There are 5 of us. I have a makeup artist, stylist, web designer, and just put on another photographer. I have a lawyer down with the team just in case anything pops off.
During an average work week, how many hours do you spend working on the Club 206 project?
Its hard to say, because i get so many emails from wannabe models that i talk to back and forth. It can take full days when its really
poppin. But for the most parts i spend most nights working on it and shooting during most days.
What's the most challenging part of maintaining or operating your website?
Keeping it fresh. Just trying to make each lady her own person is work. If u look at the site each photo looks diffrent but they were all
shot in the same studio.
What are your goals at the current time for Club 206?
I'm branching into male models and in doing that i hope to make this site diffrent from any site around.
What are some other projects you're working on, or anticipate working on in the future?
I am launching 206 Magazine. It will focus on urban glamour with a twist of everything else. I also have ubtones.com that I just put out there so people can have fun with there cell phones.
What part of operating Club 206 gives you the most enjoyment?
The beauty of the women! I can't lie. But also the gratitude they show me for being real and working hard for them. The look on a new models
face when they get there first good photo makes me know im handling up.
Do you work a regular 9 to 5 job or is Club 206 your primary project?
It's not my primary project and currently I have a several different things going on.
What's your opinion of the industry regarding ethnic models today?
Its not fare in a sense, very judgemental. But its not all on the industry some of it is the models fault. While i will admit they can look a little deeper to find the diamonds in the ocean.
If you could start this project all over again, from scratch, what would you do differently?
I would learn more about the industry. Im a hustler so i grab it and go when i see it. Being that way i take hits that most don't. I would
have liked to gave the models more game on identity and the selecting the right projects that help keep there identity clean.
What are the positive and negatives you've experienced when working with models?
The positive there are some extremely beautiful and smart ladies that just need to be taken seriously. The negative is what the industry
projects that most models are head cases and easy, its true about some. But there are some true ladies in this game and im proud of all of them.
What does Club 206 offer it's visitors that they won't necessarily or can't find on similiar websites?
Diversity, if you think of a race of people we have it and thats fly.
What advice would you give to people looking into creating or starting a project similiar to Club 206?
Do your homework and remember...customer service is everything. One thing you must also remember is that without the models there's no project...so treat them as professionals.
