How long have you been modeling?
I have been modeling for 2 years now.
What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling?
What made me pursue this career was people telling me while out in public, that I was very pretty and I should consider modeling. I also love the attention! :)
What impact has modeling had on your personal life?
It has made a big impact on my life! I'm starting to get recognition from being on the internet and hopefully when this months issue of Smooth magazine comes out there will be more opportunities available!
Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?
I love it! You run into rejections but you have to stay focused.
What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?
I'd eventually like to branch out into acting. That's my ultimate goal!
What are some of the projects you're currently working on?
Well my current project is my website Ashleycormier.com. It's really hot, so make sure your visitors check it out! Of course I'm in Smooth magazine this month and I'm thinking calendar for 2006!
What are your turn-ons?
My turn ons are guys who are fit, smart, and attentive to their women!
What are your turn-offs?
My turn offs are overly aggressive men, smokers and overweight guys!
Name some things you couldn't live without?
I can't live without my puppy "Babydoll", and of course...Chocolate!
How would you describe your overall personality?
I'm really outgoing and fun loving! I'm a very warm person to be around.
Tell us one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you on a personal level?
That's a tough one...I'm pretty spontaneous so i do a lot of shocking &outrageous things at the heat of the moment!
What would you consider your greatest strength?
My greatest strength would have to be my personality.
What would you consider your greatest physical asset?
I'd have to say greatest physical assets are my eyes, lips and breasts.
What signals do you give to a man when you want him to make the first move?
I twirl my hair, smile and get very flirty!
What signals do you give a man when you want him to stay away?
I'm a very up front person, so I'll politely tell him that I'm not interested.
What is the one thing you wish all men knew about women?
I wish all men knew that crying in front of a lady does not make you gay or weak in any way. Women actually love men who can express their feelings. I know i do.
Give us an example of what you'd consider the perfect first date?
My perfect first date would be going to a five star resturaunt, followed by a trip to the beach where we discuss our future goals in life while gazing at the stars.
Regarding the gentlemen you date, name one quality they must possess and why?
He must simply be a gentleman. He has to have the old fashion qualities of opening the door, pulling out the chair & ordering for me. It's a big turn on!
What are your opinions on the state of the black male today?
I see more Executive and CEO positions being held by our brothers than ever before. I'm extremely proud of our black men in todays society. They are hardworking and dedicated which are other qualities I admire in a man.
When a gentleman attempts to approach you in public, give us some advice on how it should be done?
Just approach me respectfully, say your name and start a simple, intelligent conversation. That shouldn't be too hard!
Give us a description of a normal evening at home with you?
That would be an evening of cooking, cleaning and watching Lifetime in my lingerine; you know...just the normal things. I have a little maltese puppy running around which everyone loves.
Overall today theres a lot of talk regarding sisters and the whole bisexual movement, if you want to call it that. What are your personal feelings regarding this rising 'phenomenon' among black women?
Whatever course live lays out for you is simply meant for you. I believe in 'destiny'. If you are attracted to women then so be it. I believe in a person doing whatever makes them happy in life.
What are your thoughts regarding brothers on the DL(Down Low)? This seems to be a growing issue with our sisters today.
Brothers on the 'DL' disgust me! I think it's sad that men can't be faithful to their partners. I take relationships, especially marriage, very seriously and consider them a blessing. If you question your sexuality discuss it, deal with honestly and be honest with your partners.
What are some of your other interest outside of modeling?
Some of my other interests involve shopping, running, dinning out, and traveling.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I can see myself on the cover of a major publication and hopefully the 'big screen'. :)
What advice would you give to young women considering a career in modeling?
Do it while you can. Enjoy it. Most importantly...be prepared for the journey!
