How long have you been modeling?
Hi David! I've been modeling for about 2 years now.
What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling?
Modeling has always been something i dreamed of doing since i was young.
What impact has modeling had on your personal life?
It has changed some. People look at me differently and treat me different now that they know that I model. Sometimes when i go out people can look at me an tell I model. I don't know why, i guess it's how i carry myself, but i think i get more respect.
Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?
I feel that a lot of people have turned modeling in to something that it wasn't meant to be. They have taken the class and elegance out of modeling to me. A lot of people will take advantage of you and it's sad because you don't know who to trust. Just as soon as you feel like you finally can trust someone, they end up being just as shady as the rest. A lot of people are just in this to make a quick buck mistaking pornography for modeling, and a lot of photographers are very un professional. A lot of things about this game would turn any reapectful person off.
What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?
One day i hope to own my own modeling agency and clothing line, so hopefully i will be sucessful in modeling that way it will help me out in my future business ventures.
What are some of the projects you're currently working on?
Right now i am working on building my portfolio and my website that i have designed myself. I am working on doing a lot more high fashion photos and promoting myself to major modeling agencies.
What are your turn-ons?
I Love having fun! Just being around people who fun, outgoing, and like to party! People who have some class and have future goals in their life. I love men with great smiles and a lot of style.
What are your turn-offs?
Bad attitudes and bad weather! I can't stand arrogant people, dead-beats, liars, mean sarcasm, smelly people, bad breath, fake people, and haters!
Name some things you couldn't live without?
Soap, a toothbrush, clean underwear, food, water, all the necessities. :)
How would you describe your overall personality?
My personality is moody. I am a people person so i love talking and meeting new people and partying, but i get in those "Don't F with me" moods. It's weird because when i am out, i want to be in the middle of a big crowd, i love the excitement, but when i am at home i don't want to be bothered. I don't even want the phone to ring! When i am chillin' i get annoyed very easily!
Tell us one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?
One thing that shocks people after they get to know me is that they learn i can install radios, speakers, amps, subs, or whatever in a vehicle. I was a serious tomboy in my teenage years, so i did it all. I even used to ride dirt bikes and 4-wheelers. LOL! They also are shocked when they find out i have a black belt in karatae. People don't believe it because i am such a girly girl now. I am always wearing pink, dresses, and super high heels. The only time i were tenis shoes is when i work out.
What would you consider your greatest strength?
My greatest strength is i am strong minded. I don't let people walk all over me. Over the past several years i have gone through a lot of hard times that taught me to be tough.
What would you consider your greatest physical asset?
Just one? I got a lot of physical assets that i think are my greatest, but the main ones are my eyes, and my lips.
What signals do you give to a man when you want him to make the first move?
Eye contact! Once I make eye contact with someone its on from there!
What signals do you give a man when you want him to stay away?
Let him know straight up to leave me the hell alone! LOL!
What is the one thing you wish all men knew about women?
How to please them. Not only physically, but mentally and emotionally.
Give us an example of what you'd consider the perfect first date?
Dinner in a small, quiet restaurant. After that we can just ride around the city, talk and get to know each other. I'm a simple girl! I don't do parks though, I have a serious allergy problem LOL!
Regarding the gentlemen you date, name one quality they must possess and why?
Confidence. I am a model. I have plenty of fans, sometimes people recognize me when i am out, and i have a lot of male contacts in this business. A man has to be confident enough to know that if I am with him, i am with only him. Nothing involving my career should intimidate him, and i would never leave him for anyone regardless of their professional or financial status.
What are your opinions on the state of the black male today?
I am proud of black men today because there are more black entreprenuers. Black men today are owning their own businesses and supplying jobs for other black people, they are giving back to the community, and they are showing the youth that it can be done. Black men today are making history and i am so proud to be part of the black community. A lot of people give black men in hip hop grief about the lyrics in their music, and the way they portray women in their videos, but they wouldn't do it if women didn't allow it. Black men, know the difference between a respectable woman, and a woman that has no respect for themselves.
When a gentleman attempts to approach you in public, give us some advice on how it should be done?
A man should be respectful and polite when approaching me. If they are rude or disrespectful, then they get dissed, period.
Give us a description of a normal evening at home with you?
A normal evening at home for me is checking my e-mails, my Yahoo Group messages, my website bulletin board, and checking the internet for any local castings. After that i workout for at least an hour at home, then i shower, eat something, then get in my bed, relax, and watch my favorite T.V. shows.
Overall today theres a lot of talk regarding sisters and the whole bisexual movement, if you want to call it that. What are your personal feelings regarding this rising 'phenomenon' among black women?
Well, whatever floats your boat. I don't dislike or look down on women who share intimacy with someone of the same sex. It's not up to me to pass judgement on anyone, that's God's job.
What are your thoughts regarding brothers on the DL(Down Low)? This seems to be a growing issue with our sisters today.
This seems
to be a growing issue that our sisters are dealing with today. I just wish that these DL brothers weren't on the DL. They should open up and be honest about their sexuality because AIDS is real and it is spreading throughout the black community very quickly.
What are some of your other interest outside of modeling?
I sing as well. I write my own songs and i am working on developing a singing career also.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Hopefully i will have a contract with Ford Modeling Agency, Baby Phat, Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, any popular clothing label or agency, or even a recording contract with a major record label.
What advice would you give to young women considering a career in modeling?
Do your own thing, don't follow behind what everyone else is doing and believe in yourself. That is something i had to learn, and fortunately it didn't take me long to figure it out.
