How long have you been modeling?
I've been modeling for about 13 years now.
What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling?
When I was 15 years old my hair stylist asked me to do a magazine spread for him when he had booked a model and her pictures didn’t come out natural looking. From there, he booked me solid for the next three years as his “house model” where I did all major hair magazines, hair shows and hair conventions.
What impact has modeling had on your personal life?
Because of the type of modeling I do e.g. Topless/sheer implied nude, I have a difficult time explaining to the people I see what I do and explain to them that it’s very clean cut and classy. When people hear you have a website, the first thing they think of is PORN, so I spend most of my time breaking it down… It gets quite frustrating.
Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?
There are so many different levels of modeling so I really can’t emphasize on every side… But as far as the type of modeling I do and the industry I am in, there is a bunch of cattiness, jealousy, back stabbing, enviousness, cut throat people in the business.
What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?
I think I have already gotten what I can get from the modeling stand point. Now I am taking it to the next level, working with and managing other models, doing it more on a Production level.
What are some of the projects you're currently working on?
I am a part of a great corporation called Infinity Production where we have produced a company called the Jaw Dropper Models which consists of all of the major print, video and internet models all in one forum for a great model tour all over the USA. Make sure you guys check us out! :)
What are your turn-ons?
A confident man!
What are your turn-offs?
Broke pockets.
Name some things you couldn't live without?
My laptop and my family.
How would you describe your overall personality?
I am a very blunt, real, straight to the point, honest woman who loves to have fun and very genuine to my dear friends and family. Just don’t cross me. I am a cancer, and we are not to be screwed around. We never forget anything.
Tell us one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?
Because all of these fake people who think they know me, but really don’t seem to call me a DIVA or BITCH, when people really meet me, they expect me to come off nasty, loud or spoiled, but I am very down to earth and am very approachable. Most people are shocked to know I am so cool.
What would you consider your greatest strength?
My experiences. Everything that I have been through I made it into a learning experience. I make my experiences work for my benefit and turn negatives into positive.
What would you consider your greatest physical asset?
I must definitely say...my long legs!
What signals do you give to a man when you want him to make the first move?
Eye signals always work the best.
What signals do you give a man when you want him to stay away?
Eye signals always work the best… :)
What is the one thing you wish all men knew about women?
That some women LIKE to wear the pants sometimes…
Give us an example of what you'd consider the perfect first date?
Him picking me up, having flowers sitting in the front seat of his car, taking me out on the green and having a nice intimate picnic where he cooked all of the food and feed me cherries and read me a nice book.
Regarding the gentlemen you date, name one quality they must possess and why?
They must know how to dress. I love to see a man suited up with some hot gators and cuff links to die for.
If you had to choose one place on earth to live out the rest of your life...where would it be and why?
I would love to be on a deserted beach because it is quiet, serene, and peaceful.
What are your opinions on the state of the black male today?
There are still some very good black men out there…
When a gentleman attempts to approach you in public, give us some advice on how it should be done?
Just be real. Do not come to me with some stupid pick up line… I will sign you a reality check real quick.
Give us a description of a normal evening at home with you?
Watching American Idol or America’s Next Top Model with my 10 year old daughter, on my pc handling business or hanging out with the only 2 friends I have in Florida or with my sister.
Overall today theres a lot of talk regarding sisters and the whole bisexual movement, if you want to call it that. What are your personal feelings regarding this rising 'phenomenon' among black women?
It seems to be the fad that everyone is doing now. Mostly every man lifelong fantasy is to be with 2 women together. Some men get what they ask for cause if you turn a woman onto this, there’s no telling if she might actually enjoy it and switch over. So most of these women end up liking with side… So men, you get what you asked for, DON’T COMPLAIN NOW. And NO, I am not bisexual!
What are your thoughts regarding brothers on the DL(Down Low)? This seems to be a growing issue with our sisters today.
The same thing I said before about females trying out new things is the same way I feel about the men. I just wish the men would be honest with a woman before-hand and let her make the decision on whether or not she wants to deal with a situation like that.
What are some of your other interest outside of modeling?
I dabble in production, marketing, promoting, managing, bartending, deejaying, and being a MOM to my 1 and only 10 year old daughter.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I see myself establishing a successful production company with a great team working beside me. I have major plans and am now taking the possible steps to making this dream into reality.
What advice would you give to young women considering a career in modeling?
Not everything that glitters is platinum. Do your research. Never pay for any agent who says they can make you a star. If an agent wants you, he/she will recruit you without taking any dollars from you. 9 times out of 10, they will take your money, and not get you any work. IT’S A SCAM. Everyone can be a model, but not ever model can do certain work. There are models for everything e.g. hair, nails, legs, etc. If you want to be a model, and this is your lifelong dream, don’t let anyone tell you, you can’t. I have seen a lot of women who are very successful internet models and beyond the net, that aren’t the best looking, but men love different things and if you have that confidence and strive to be a success and that “IT” factor, it can be rewarding for you.
