How long have you been modeling?
I actually started modeling about a year ago.
What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling?
I've always loved performing, which got me started in dancing professionally then I decided to try modeling and it just came naturally.
What impact has modeling had on your personal life?
It has opened alot of doors for me in the entertainment industry and it has only increased my self esteem because it takes alot of confidence to model, whether it be in lingerie/fashion, etc...
Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?
The model industry is a hard business to get into but it is also only for the strong person willing to push themselves and not give up just because one person feels your look is not what they are looking for.
What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?
I want to not only be a successfl model, but also dancer and possibly get into acting.
What are some of the projects you're currently working on?
I've just completed the revamp of my website...www.micoledenise.com. I'll be continually updating that going forward.
What are your turn-ons?
Someone with goals a plan for their life, spontaneous, God-fearing, of course someone physically fit, I take pride in my appearance and expect the same in someone else.
What are your turn-offs?
Laziness, rude /disrespectful, someone who doesn't listen to me.
How would you describe your overall personality?
Outgoing, friendly, silly at times, goal oriented, confident and humble.
What would you consider your greatest strength?
My confidence.
What would you consider your greatest physical asset?
My legs and eyes.
What do you consider the perfect first date?
Dinner and a glass of red wine at a nice jazz club.
What are your opinions on the state of the black male today?
I won't say all but some just think women only notice them if they have alot of material things.. Honestly I think that is mainly just a misunderstanding between male/female.
When a brother attempts to approach you in public, give us some advice on how it should be done?
Just be real with me, no game no flashy bling bling it doesn't get my attention because I want to know what's inside a person. And you must be respectful.
Give us a description of a normal evening at home with you?
Usually i do my early morning workout, get ready for work as a librarian, Bible study, walking my dog, taking care of my modeling biz via internet, sometimes over the phone, checking my email and fanmail, just chilling and watching BET and talking with my boyfriend.
Overall today theres a lot of talk regarding sisters and the whole bisexual movement, if you want to call it that. What are your personal feelings regarding this rising 'phenomenon' among black women?
If anything I feel it has always been this way but just not being unveiled. I myself have beliefs and love men but I judge no one for how they chose to live their life or what their sexual preference is.
What is your political affiliation? (Democrat, Republican, etc.)
Democrat.
What are your current opinions on the Bush administration and on the work they're doing?
I didn't vote for Bush and not happy with the way the run for presidency resulted but he is this country's leader and downing Bush will not make things better. But I do say to those who want to make a difference please vote because one person makes more of difference than you realize.
Do you intend to vote in this years(2004) election?
YES...of course!
What are your feelings regarding the 2004 election, especially after the 2000 voting fiasco?
Like I said before we must all vote if we want to change things.
What are some of your other interest outside of modeling?
Dancing, reading, fitness(working out), attending church and yoga.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
I plan on owning my own business, completing my degree in e-commerce business, expanding my modeling career and hopefully doing more work in
acting and dancing.
What advice would you give to young women considering a career in modeling?
If it is something you really want to do and love, then go for it. But you must know it is not an easy business and there will be much hate but also alot of love and your fans will be awesome. Never let anyone tell you you can't make it because you can do whatever you put your mind to with hard work.
