Women To Desire

How did the idea for "Women To Desire" come about?

Women To Desire is just what it says 'Women To Desire'. I wanted to create a website that promoted glamour models from all areas of the United States. I also wanted to take it a bit further and promote models that I thought were very desirable to my viewers. In short 'Women To Desire' is a place were models can come to be models and also be desired, which makes them more then just models.

What is your position within the project?

I'm the CEO and the founder of 'Women To Desire', so I basically make all decision that needs to be made in reference to the website and the models. I just can't afford to have anyone else do some of the work at this time.

How has the project grown or changed since its inception?

'WTD' has a better quality of models and more fan support now, but in the beginning it was the total opposite. We manage to add a great Photographer named Kendal Carr, and with his photography I made a real big leap with the quality of images on the site. I know that is will take a lot of hard work to get 'WTD' were I want it to be. Over the last year 'WTD' has attracted models from up and down the East Coast, but at first I only had local models to work with. Fan support is the biggest growth over this last year.

How large is the team that currently assists you with running this project?

The team that helps with this project is not very big at this time, but I hope to expand it in the future. I have myself and one of the models, Vanette, that does most of recruiting. I coordinating the photo shoots. I have Kendal Carr who gives me magazine quality images on each shoot, and finally I have my make-up artists...Tiffany, Alice and Val. It's small, but efficient.

During an average work week, how many hours do you spend working on the project?

I spend about 5 hrs a day on the project. I try to network with different people, and look for ways to get my models more exposure.

What's the most challenging part of maintaining or operating your website?

I really don't have to maintain the site because my webmaster takes care of the part of it. I can say that making sure that the website looks good and all the links are working is a challenge.

What are your goals at the current time for "Women To Desire"?

The current goal for me and the models of 'WTD' is to get as much exposure as possible. Going forward, I'm looking to place the models in major publications, videos, promotional ads, and a few high level, urban fashion shows.

What are some other projects you're working on, or anticipate working on in the future?

I have many projects that I would like to get done soon like, calendars, posters, T-shirts, and promotional events. The biggest project that I would like to put on is a fashion show showcasing all of the 'WTD' models.

What part of operating "Women To Desire" gives you the most enjoyment?

I love doing the photo shoots, because it gives me a chance to teach the models a little about what I have learned about modeling. It also gives me a chance to build a personal relationship with the models, because I like to know all of my models. I don't just want to have a model on my website and not know anything about her. That's one of the advantages of working with me. To me, the models aren't just numbers and names. If I have a client ask me…how's a certain models personality? I can give them a honest answer.

Do you work a regular 9 to 5 job or is "Women To Desire" your primary project?

Yes I have a regular 9 to 5, but it's not too stressful, so I can focus on 'WTD' most of the time.

What's your opinion of the industry regarding ethnic models today?

I feel that the industry is creating a lot of opportunities for ethnic models in this day and time. Some video models are just as popular as some of the fashion models you see in these big fashion shows. I bet if you asked any young man between 18 and 30 if they know who Buffy the Body is, they would say yes. Ten years age you could not ask that same question, because the urban industry was just beginning to come out. Urban is in right now, and anything in the urban category is going to make waves.

If you could start this project all over again, from scratch, what would you do differently?

I would not anything other than having more money to fund the project. I like the fact that I have worked hard for everything that 'WTD' gets, because it makes me feel good to see that this project was just a thought in my head and now there are thousands of people around the world that can enjoy he experience.

What are the positive and negatives you've experienced when working with models?

I have to say that for the most part I have had nothing but good experiences with working with models. I guess if I even get a chance to work with some of the big glamour models that answer might change. I like working with up and coming models because they are hungry and willing to give me a 100% to get the job done.

What does "Women To Desire" offer it's visitors that they won't necessarily or can't find on similar websites?

'WTD' offers it's visitors quality and taste. 'WTD' is not out to make its models look like pieces of meat. The images that we post are very seductive and tasteful and they are of a very high quality. We produce images that allow the visitors to use their imagination. I think that's what makes us different from the rest.

Are there any current issues being dealt with today that cause you the most concern?

The only real issue I have right now is placing my models in the right places, at the right times. It's hard to find out about events in the urban industry, so once I can start getting information on events, in this industry, you can count on 'WTD' to be there!

Ok...unfortunately there will always be 'haters' lurking around. Have you experienced that since starting "Women to Desire" and if so, how have you dealt with it?

I have not run across any haters, but I have run across people who tell me they can do things for me and models and never come through. But that's okay because I have God with me and that's all I need.

Tell us some of things you couldn't live without?

My computer is the one thing I could not go without having right now, because I basically run my entire project/business from it.

What advice would you give to people looking into creating or starting a project similiar to "Women To Desire"?

Try to be original with your idea, because there are a million and one websites that display beautiful women. You have to offer something different to the market. Try to create a following of people that will support and appreciate what you are doing. Never give up on your dream no matter what, even if you have to do it all by yourself. People will always be there to shoot your idea down because they want you to be, just another average Joe. Finally, just do a good job in whatever you're doing and God will provide the rest.
