How long have you been modeling?

I have been modeling for about 6 years now.

What made you decide to pursue a career in modeling?

I was and athlete in school and had a bad knee injury which ruined my athletic career. So I figured the next best thing would be to pursue a modeling career, which I had first explored as a small child.

What impact has modeling had on your personal life?

It is hard to hold down a relationship when you are a model because of all the traveling I have to do and the fact that guys are always trying to get at a model, bump the fact that you are with someone!

Overall, what has been your opinion of the modeling industry as a whole?

The modeling industry is very cut throat! You have to be a hustler to succeed and grow as a model. Some people are lucky and are at the right place at the right time and things just begin to fall in their lap...but, believe me that is very few of us.

What do you intend to gain or get out of your career in modeling?

I hope that I can gain a lot this year...I feel as though my career has taken a turn for the better. My photos have gotten better, I've had a lot more work and I made it to the semi-finalists of Maxim Magazines Hometown Hotties in hopes of making it to the finalists with everyone's support in voting for me on www.maximonline.com. I think for sure my career will launch if I get that spread in Maxim!

What are some of the projects you're currently working on?

I am going to be doing a lot for the rest of the year. I have quite a few shows and shoots to do. My main goal is keeping my website (www.misskeppard.com) tight so that people know me and know of me.

What are your turn-ons?

My turn-on is a successful confident person! I love people with drive and a passion for doing what they do.

What are your turn-offs?

My biggest turn-off is a liar! Also, a person who can't hold down their own. I need only positive in my life!

Name some things you couldn't live without?

I can not live without my feminine necessities. It is crucial that I always have the things that I go to bed with and wake up with everyday. Okay guys, also a good man to keep me level...you know what I'm talkin about!

How would you describe your overall personality?

I just try to be the best person I can possibly be and help others as I can. I was blessed with special talents and want to continue to spread my knowledge to those that need help getting to where I am today and further. I have a lot of really great friends who are always there for me and wouldn't trade them in for the world! I am very appreciative of all of my blessings!

Tell us one thing about yourself that tends to shock people once they get to know you personally?

It always shocks people that I am so friendly and outgoing being as most models are pegged for being very stuck up and snobbish...my pleasant attitude and also amount of professionalism is a breath of fresh air to the people I work with.

What would you consider your greatest strength?

My greatest strength is my gift for gab. I never want to seem like a dumb model so I always make sure I get my point across with the utmost amount of professionalism and confidence.

What would you consider your greatest physical asset?

My stomach is my best physical asset definitely because I don't workout my upper body at all but am able to keep up my six pack that I got from playing so many sports in school.

What signals do you give to a man when you want him to make the first move?

My first move is usually a nice little half smile, not to much...I don't want him to think I'm too interested. Followed by the eye seduction, and by that time he's usually on his way!

What signals do you give a man when you want him to stay away?

I ignore a man if he is being obnoxious or I am not interested or else I may say something to hurt his feelings!

What is the one thing you wish all men knew about women?

I can't say, because all women are so different, even the ones I hang around...someone can be attracted to the weirdest things.

Give us an example of what you'd consider the perfect first date?

The perfect first date is going to a nice restaurant with really good food (I love to eat) and enjoying a nice bottle of wine. I am a really laid back lady who loves a calm atmosphere with nice ambiance. After dinner, well that depends on the guy...I almost never invite a guy back to my place, though. I have had a few stocker situations that I would not like to have repeated.

Regarding the gentlemen you date, name one quality they must possess and why?

Confidence, I can not be even physically attracted to anyone that does not possess a certain amount of confidence. He doesn't even have to be cute but he does need to be a big guy!

What are your opinions on the state of the black male today?

I feel that too many of our men are turning gay and that is so scary! There are too many undercover brothas out there...you don't know who you might be sleeping with anymore!:(

When a gentleman attempts to approach you in public, give us some advice on how it should be done?

Do not holla at me! I won't even turn around. Give me respect and come over introduce yourself and shake my hand. Let me know you're serious...that's all.

Give us a description of a normal evening at home with you?

I am usually laid back on the couch in the evenings watching a good movie and eating some really good food. Sometimes I will have some of my people over for dinner if I've cooked too much and we will have some drinks, talk and laugh a lot!

Overall today theres a lot of talk regarding sisters and the whole bisexual movement, if you want to call it that. What are your personal feelings regarding this rising 'phenomenon' among black women?

My personal feeling is that the guys are doing the same thing and trying to hide it from us. I'm straight and that's all I know.

What are your thoughts regarding brothers on the DL(Down Low)? This seems to be a growing issue with our sisters today.

That's funny that I had already brought that up...so, you must know that that is a touchy subject for me. I can't hang!

What are some of your other interest outside of modeling?

My other interests include make-up artistry, coordinating fashion shows, and I am also a computer geek.

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

In the next five years I see myself growing even more and being a very successful black woman wherever I am at in whatever I am doing.

What advice would you give to young women considering a career in modeling?

My advice is this, don't knock the hustle! It is not a game if you really want to get somewhere. There are very few models that actually make it to the top...so you have to know how to sell yourself through your personality. Be very confident and know exactly what it is that you want to achieve and you will do fine.
